I just downloaded Opera 3.5 beta 2 and low and behold, the WordPress.com “insert/edit link” function on Mac OS X seems to work! Oh happy day! Note that the link below should link to Wikipedia:

Anyone who is considering using WordPress.com, I highly recommend that you wait till the Visual Editor is fixed, unless you want to use an html editor to post.

Does anyone out there know how to fix this problem?
I have not posted anything here since I and many others have been very frustrated with WP’s bad manners while using Safari 3.1 on a Mac… The Visual Editor seems to have improved. There are still major problems, though…
For example, the Insert/Edit Link button opens a window which is completely blank except for the little “X” on the top right corner to close the useless blank window. Same problem with the Insert/Edit Image function. This is frustrating and forces me to go to the HTML tab and edit there. This is not seemless, and certainly not intuitive.
Looking forward to improvements in the future. When the fixes come, I will consider upgrading to the paid version of wordpress.com, and start posting regularly.

Mr. Green Jeans was not the brightest light on the tree, but he certainly was a profoundly ecological kind of guy. In thinking of a title for this blog about ecologically oriented topics, Mr. Green Jeans came to mind, and hence this blog.
